BERSIGAR Ocular 1711: Orange Black Chronograph Edition
The BERSIGAR Ocular 1711 Orange Black unites heavy-duty ocean exploration styling with high-precision chronograph engineering. Defined by an assertive 42mm stainless steel case, an ultra-durable sapphire dive bezel with a high-visibility orange elapsed-time sector, a bi-compax jet-black dial, and an ergonomic three-link stainless steel bracelet, this sports watch delivers professional aquatic capability and striking wrist impact.
Powered by the Seiko Japanese TMI VK64 meca-quartz movement, the hybrid caliber pairs quartz timekeeping accuracy with mechanical chronograph tactile feedback and an instantaneous central seconds flyback reset. The dial features a date window positioned at 6 o'clock, applied luminous indices, a bold orange Arabic numeral 12, broad arrow hands, and two sub-registers displaying a 60-minute chronograph counter and a 24-hour cycle. Built from solid 316L brushed and polished stainless steel, the watch is equipped with an anti-reflective sapphire crystal, a knurled screw-down crown with an orange accent ring, and 10 BAR (100M) water resistance.

I own half a dozen chronographs and wanted a rugged meca-quartz for job site visits. The 42mm case sits well on my wrist, the sapphire crystal shrugs off dust and scrapes, and the Seiko VK64 pusher actuation feels crisp. The matte black dial and orange sub-register hands have zero alignment issues. My only minor gripe is that the shipping carrier delayed the box by two days, though the watch itself is great.

Sorry about the carrier delay, Carl, we know waiting on a new watch is frustrating! Happy to hear the Ocular 1711 is holding up well on site.

brother loved it
Picked this up for my younger brother's 40th birthday since he works around boats and likes black and orange gear. He sized the bracelet that night and hasn't taken it off since.

Sharp Bi-Compax Meca-Quartz
For $250, getting a sapphire crystal paired with a sapphire bezel insert and a Seiko VK64 meca-quartz caliber is rare. The 42mm 316L case has clean transitions between the brushed lug tops and polished bevels. Because there is no running seconds hand on the VK64, it looks like a mechanical bi-compax until you hit the top pusher. Sits flat on my 7-inch wrist and hasn't drifted a second in three weeks.

Orange accents look great outdoors
The matte black dial with the orange hands looks way better in natural sunlight than on the website. Been wearing it to the pharmacy all week and already got two compliments on it.

Ocular 1711 Orange Black VK64 Review
Having collected Seiko-powered microbrands for years, I wanted a beater chrono with high-contrast hands. The matte black dial with orange accents against the dual sub-registers is super legible, and the VK64 sweep hand resets dead on twelve every time. Anti-reflective sapphire crystal is flat and clear. Note that the unidirectional sapphire bezel action was a little stiff out of the box before working it around a few times, now it clicks smoothly.
