navy gilt dial looks great
Been wearing the Navy Blue Valiant to work and out for beers on the weekend. The textured dial and gold-toned markers catch the light nicely in person, and the jubilee bracelet is super comfortable.

Rugged 200m Field Watch

great on jubilee or leather
Sized the steel jubilee bracelet for my 7.5-inch wrist and wore it for two weeks before swapping the Black gilt Valiant onto a 20mm distressed brown leather strap. Changes the whole character of the watch. My only minor gripe is that the tiny text on the dial is tough to read without my glasses.

Vintage Field Vibe
I collect military and aviation-inspired field watches, and the Navy Blue Valiant with the gilt 3-6-9 dial and domed sapphire hits a great vintage note. The Seiko YN55A automatic winds smoothly. My only minor quibble is the smaller minute hash marks are a little faint without my reading glasses.

Classy Gilt Dial for Work
The Black dial Valiant with the warm vintage gilt numerals and jubilee bracelet looks much more expensive than $300 in the office. At 40mm it slips under a dress shirt cuff during vendor meetings and works equally well with a polo after hours.

Great Son Graduation Gift
Bought the Black gilt-dial Valiant for my son when he graduated from Ohio State. He loves the classic 3-6-9 explorer layout and the 200m water resistance. Gave 4 stars only because the screw-down crown threads were a bit tight at first and took a firm push to catch.
