I was skeptical buying a $220 chronograph online, but the solid 316L steel bracelet and sapphire crystal feel like watches twice the price. Also threw it on a spare leather strap for a few days, though that leather was stiff for the first 3-4 days.

Bought this for my son's 40th birthday. He was thrilled with the vintage black dial and solid feel. Only heads up is bracelet resizing took 15-20 minutes because a couple of the split pins were pretty stubborn.
As someone who collects vintage-inspired chronographs, the 40mm Ocular 1766 hits a great proportion for my wrist. The Seiko VK64 meca-quartz caliber drops the running seconds hand, which lets the matte black dial and patinated markers look like a classic hand-wound two-register piece until you engage the 5Hz sweep. Solid 316L end links, clean brushing on the fixed tachymeter bezel, and an anti-reflective sapphire crystal round out a very smart package.
Took this out for a weekend autocross event. The VK64 pushers have a firm click, the bi-compax sub-registers are easy to read at a glance, and the fixed steel tachymeter bezel looks classic on my wrist.
I prefer menswear-style chronographs over tiny ladies watches, and at 40mm this fits my wrist really well after removing four links. The matte black dial and steel bracelet pair easily with blazers at the office.
