Gave this to my dad for his retirement party up in Maine. He wanted a gold-tone watch with some sporty character, and the rose gold PVD with the champagne and black dial had him grinning all night.

The warm champagne dial with black tri-compax sub-registers gives this 40mm Ocular 1702 a classic 1970s racing chronograph look. Having the Seiko meca-quartz movement inside keeps the case profile wearable on my wrist while delivering a crisp mechanical sweep when the chrono is engaged. The fixed tachymeter bezel and AR sapphire crystal are well finished for the price.

Wasn't sure what a $255 rose gold chronograph would feel like in person, but the rose gold PVD finish and champagne panda dial look great on my wrist. The outer presentation box was fairly basic, though the watch is where the money went.
