The Luminaire is a limited release that pays homage to the titans of horology. It gathers Hamilton-style dial cut-outs, an AP-inspired tapisserie texture and a Richard Mille-style rectangular case into one bold silhouette, then layers in the skeletonized character of the Visionary. The openworked Miyota 8N24 gear train on the Blue edition has a cool mechanical instrument look, and the 100m water resistance is solid. Note that the crown threads are tight at first and take a firm push to catch.

As a longtime collector, I appreciate how cleanly the Red accents frame the openworked Miyota 8N24 movement inside the brushed titanium case. You get 21 jewels, a 42-hour power reserve, and genuine 100m water resistance with sapphire glass on both sides. On my wrist, the low mass of titanium makes it far more wearable than steel skeletons.

Added the Blue Luminaire to my collection because I wanted a true full-bridge skeleton automatic in a titanium case rather than heavy steel. Watching the Miyota 8N24 mainspring barrel and escapement work through the front and rear sapphire crystals is mesmerizing, and it keeps within +7 sec/day on my wrist. I put a butterfly deployant clasp on the leather strap, though without half-step adjustments it feels slightly snug in humid weather.

Most skeleton watches have 30m splash resistance and have to stay in the cabin when I am surveying boats. With 100m water resistance, sapphire front and back, and the FKM rubber option, this Rose Gold titanium Luminaire handles water and sun easily.

Being able to switch the Rose Gold Luminaire between the Italian top-grain leather strap for office days and the FKM rubber strap for humid weekends is a huge plus. The minute track markings are a little small without my reading glasses.
Took the Red Luminaire up to Lake Tahoe for the weekend and kept it on the FKM rubber strap for boating and swimming. Having 100m water resistance and a titanium case on a skeleton automatic is awesome.

The exposed Miyota 8N24 automatic skeleton bridgework on the Blue Luminaire has the mechanical instrument feel I love in vintage gauges and track timers. The titanium case is super light on my wrist. Note that the rotor has a slight audible whir in a dead-quiet room.
