Took this 40mm chrono down to the Jersey shore for a long weekend of swimming and surf fishing. The 100m rating is legit, the sapphire crystal shrugged off sand, and the high-contrast silver subdials against the black face are super legible outdoors.
Wore this out on Chickamauga Lake all Saturday and the 100m water resistance and solid steel bracelet handled wet dock lines without issue. Contrast on the black and silver dial makes it easy to read in bright sun. The shipping carrier delayed the box by two days, though the watch itself is great.
Checked the chrono hand alignment and pusher engagement right out of the box. Everything resets cleanly on the Seiko VK63 movement and the 316L steel case brushing is uniform. The lume is decent for a few hours after dark, though not an all-night torch.

The obsidian black dial and silver sub-registers have much more depth in natural daylight than the website photos show. It sits comfortably on my wrist for coding all day and going out to dinner.
The black dial with triple silver subdials works with almost every suit in my closet. At 40mm, it sits low enough on my wrist to clear dress shirt cuffs during client presentations, and the brushed steel bracelet has a clean, understated look.
