I'm picky about case machining, and the flutes on this 316L bezel are cut sharply with even PVD tone across the case and bracelet. The Seiko NH36A day-date snaps over cleanly at midnight and is holding +4 sec/day on my wrist. That sunburst olive dial against rose gold is a great combination.
On my wrist this 40mm case wears with classic dress-sport presence. The brushing on the outer links contrasts cleanly with the polished center links and fluted bezel, and the sunburst olive dial has crisp Roman numeral printing. Having a hacking and hand-winding Seiko NH36A with 100m water resistance makes it a very practical automatic.
Rose gold and olive green look incredible in sunlight. Fits my wrist right after removing two links.
Most of my watches are black-dial chronographs, so I wanted something with warmth for dinner dates after a day at the airfield. The Seiko NH36A automatic is rock solid and the olive green dial against rose gold is a winner.
Put this on my timegrapher after a full wind and the Seiko NH36A caliber clocked in at +2 seconds per day with healthy amplitude. The 40mm case is about as big as I go on my wrist, and the curved lugs keep it sitting flat. The sunburst olive green dial with Roman numerals plays nicely with the polished fluted bezel.
I wasn't sure if rose gold and olive green would look too loud in person, or how a $399 watch would compare to my pricier pieces. Turns out the muted sunburst olive and solid 316L bracelet look super refined.

Checked the specs out of the box: 40mm case, flat AR sapphire crystal, and a Seiko NH36A automatic movement that winds and sets day/date without play. The rose gold finish against the olive green Roman dial is legible and well executed.
