At $299 I wasn't sure how solid the jubilee bracelet and case finishing would feel, but this watch surprised me. Solid links, a domed AR sapphire crystal, a screw-down crown with 200m rating, and reassuring weight on the wrist. Glad I pulled the trigger.
As a retired Air Force guy, I appreciate a no-nonsense instrument dial. The high-contrast markers, compass markings, and 200m water resistance make this 40mm Helmsman a serious tool watch, and the Seiko YN55A hacking movement has been dead reliable.

The bold 12-3-6-9 numerals and compass bezel on the Helmsman remind me of classic aircraft instruments. The YN55A automatic runs great. Knocked one star because the clasp adjustment was slightly snug on my 7.5-inch wrist during humid North Carolina afternoons until I moved a link.

40mm case fits my wrist just right. Solid jubilee bracelet and bright lume.
Sized the stainless steel jubilee bracelet for my wrist in about ten minutes, and it drapes really nicely. I also swapped it onto a 20mm tan leather strap for a few days, which gives the Midnight Black dial a totally different vintage field vibe.
