Hommage à la P-51 Mustang de Bristol GMT : une montre GMT à cadran beige dotée d’un boîtier de 44 mm en acier inoxydable 316L, animée par un mouvement à quartz suisse. Elle arbore au dos du boîtier un fragment d’origine de la structure de l’avion auquel elle rend hommage, est limitée à 1945 exemplaires et propose un deuxième fuseau horaire pour les voyages. Sur le cadran ChronoSeasons, elle occupe la position VI — Field & Adventure, faisant partie de la saison Expedition — et convient aussi bien aux grands voyageurs qu’aux escapades en plein air.
Le P-51 Mustang nord-américain est peut-être l’avion de chasse allié le plus déterminant de la Seconde Guerre mondiale. Le Mustang fut le premier chasseur capable d’escorter les bombardiers alliés, jusqu’alors sans protection, jusqu’à Berlin et dans leur retour. Cet hommage au P-51 arbore un design aviateur classique et est doté d’un mouvement à quartz suisse de précision avec fonctions GMT et date. Le cadran Super-LumiNova est protégé par un verre saphir résistant aux rayures. Ce modèle est limité à 1945 exemplaires en hommage à la fin de la Seconde Guerre mondiale, et le fond de boîtier présente un fragment d’origine de la structure d’un P-51D Mustang.

It runs on a Swiss quartz movement, GMT and Date Functions. Quartz keeps it accurate and low-maintenance; the battery simply needs replacing every few years.
Only splashes. It is rated to 50m (5 ATM), which handles rain and hand-washing, but it is not intended for swimming or submersion.

As an airline pilot, I love the vintage beige dial and swapped in a riveted pilot leather strap to alternate with the factory brown band. Date window is a little small without my reading glasses, but the GMT hand is clear.
Took this up to Lake Huron for a long weekend of sailing and hiking. The 50m water resistance and sapphire crystal handled spray and trail dust without a mark, and the high-contrast numerals on the beige dial are super readable in bright sun.

Solid 44mm 316L polished steel case with a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and legible beige dial. Keeps accurate time on my wrist. The shipping carrier delayed the box by two days, though the watch itself is great.

Checked the 44mm polished 316L case tolerances and hand alignment on arrival. The Swiss quartz GMT hand tracks mainland time accurately from Hawaii, the sapphire crystal is clear, and the P-51 airframe inlay is flush.
The factory brown leather strap looks sharp with the beige dial, and I also swapped in a tan canvas strap for Houston summer heat. Note that the crown stem detents are tight at first and take a firm push to catch when setting the GMT hand.
