El transbordador espacial Atlantis realizó 33 misiones espaciales. Este excepcional reloj es un homenaje al Atlantis y cuenta con una caja de acero inoxidable mecanizada con precisión y exhibe un artefacto espacial original que voló a bordo del Atlantis. El movimiento es un cronógrafo suizo de precisión con una esfera Super-LumiNova protegida por un cristal de zafiro resistente a los arañazos. Este diseño está limitado a 1996 unidades en honor al año en que el material exhibido en la caja del reloj voló en el espacio en el STS-79, orbitando la Tierra 160 veces y recorriendo 3,9 millones de millas.

Most quartz chronographs cut corners on the caliber, so getting the 13-jewel Swiss Ronda 5030.D with gold-plated metal movement plates inside this 44mm steel case is a pleasant surprise. On my wrist, the lug-to-lug drape and solid 316L steel bracelet feel well balanced. Flipping the watch over to see the actual space-flown Space Shuttle Atlantis artifact inset into the numbered 1996-edition caseback never gets old.

Wore this Atlantis chronograph with a navy suit to a county fire board briefing. The crisp white dial and steel bracelet look clean under a dress cuff. The shipping carrier delayed the box by two days, though the watch itself is great.
