At 40mm in brushed 316L steel with an anti-reflective sapphire crystal, it wears slightly more compact on my wrist, just like a vintage racing timer should.
I have several Swiss automatics, yet I keep reaching for this 40mm Ocular 1766 because the proportions are spot on. The Seiko VK64 meca-quartz eliminates the ticking seconds hand, giving a clean bi-compax symmetry on the sunburst royal blue dial. The fixed brushed tachymeter bezel frames the sapphire crystal nicely, and the calfskin strap broke in quickly on my wrist.
