Fragen & Antworten

What movement powers the Ocean Crawler Core Diver - Eclipse Carbon?

A Swiss-made Sellita SW200-1 automatic running at 28,800 vibrations per hour with about a 40-hour power reserve. It is self-winding, so there is no battery to replace.

Can I swim with the Ocean Crawler Core Diver - Eclipse Carbon?

It is rated to 600 metres (60 ATM) and pressure-tested, so it is suitable for recreational and technical scuba diving, freediving and spearfishing. Have the gaskets checked periodically to keep that rating.

Will the Ocean Crawler Core Diver - Eclipse Carbon fit my wrist?

The case measures 44mm (15.6mm thick, 22mm lug width) — a bold size that suits larger wrists (roughly 17.5 cm / 6.9 in and up). Our watch size guide (/pages/watch-size-guide) explains how to measure your wrist.

What does the dial of the Ocean Crawler Core Diver - Eclipse Carbon look like?

It has a eclipse carbon dial, framed by a sapphire unidirectional rotating bezel, under an anti-reflective sapphire crystal.

What makes the Core Diver stand out as a dive watch?

It pairs 600 metres (60 ATM) of tested water resistance with a full sapphire bezel and sapphire crystal, a serious tool-watch build and Swiss Super-LumiNova, so it performs underwater and still looks refined on land.

How good is the Ocean Crawler Core Diver - Eclipse Carbon's lume and bezel?

The bezel and key dial markers carry Swiss Super-LumiNova, so elapsed-time tracking and reading the time stay clear in dark or murky water.

Are there other versions of the Ocean Crawler Core Diver?

Yes. Other versions we carry include the Ocean Crawler Core Diver - Spring Time - Full Lume Orange, the Ocean Crawler Core Diver - Whitewater Sentinel, the Ocean Crawler Core Diver - Rubellite Edition, the Ocean Crawler Core Diver - Blue/Orange DLC, the Ocean Crawler Core Diver - Blue/Orange. Availability changes with stock, so the collection page always shows what is in stock today.

Who is the Ocean Crawler Core Diver - Eclipse Carbon for?

On the ChronoSeasons dial it sits at Hour VII — Carbon & Modern, part of the Downtime season, and suits weekends, active days and travel.

Serious specs on the SW200-1 Core Diver

Picked this up to see how Ocean Crawler's 44mm by 15.6mm Core Diver case compares to my Swiss divers costing three times as much. The 4.0mm AR sapphire crystal and lumed sapphire bezel insert are executed very well, and the Sellita SW200-1 is running +2.5 seconds a day. Only docking a star because on my wrist, the watch has some real heft to it that took a couple days to get used to.

Antwort von ChronoSeasons

Hi Philip, thanks for sharing your timegrapher numbers and impressions! With 600m of water resistance and the shark-mesh bracelet, it definitely brings some steel weight to the wrist.

motorsport vibe diver

As a machinist and amateur rally co-driver, I love forged carbon and clean instrument dials. This 44mm Core Diver fits my 8-inch wrist like a glove. The C3 lume on the bezel markers reads like a cockpit gauge at night.

Antwort von ChronoSeasons

Thanks Richard! A rally cockpit is a great comparison for that carbon weave and C3 lume. Enjoy wearing it!

Two straps change the whole look

Having both the heavy shark-mesh bracelet and the rubber strap in the box is a huge plus. Sized the mesh for my wrist for office days, then swapped to rubber for a beach trip. The carbon dial suits both.

Antwort von ChronoSeasons

Hi Nolan, glad you're getting good use out of both the shark-mesh and the rubber strap! That Eclipse Carbon dial really adapts well to either setup.

Track Day Tough

I spend my weekends around vintage Porsches at Willow Springs and wanted a watch with a carbon fiber dial to match the cockpit trim. Even without chronograph pushers, the 120-click sapphire bezel is great for timing 20-minute track sessions, and the Sellita SW200-1 winds smoothly.
