I am a machinist and usually skeptical of $220 watches sold online, but the brushing on this 316L case and the sapphire bezel are well executed. Note that the high-beat automatic rotor has a slight audible whir in a dead-quiet room.
Coming from a machinist, that compliment on the case brushing means a lot, Jacob! That unidirectional rotor sound is normal for the 9020 series.
Checked timekeeping over ten days and the Japanese 9020 automatic is averaging +4 seconds per day. Case tolerances around the fixed black sapphire bezel are tight, crown action is firm, and the matte black dial has zero glare.

Wore this with a charcoal suit to a city council meeting and it looked right at home. Sits flat enough on my wrist to clear my shirt cuff, though the black alligator-grain leather strap was pretty stiff for the first 3-4 days.

Getting a Japanese 9020 automatic with a sapphire crystal and sapphire bezel at $220 made me skeptical at first. Once I put it on my wrist, the solid 316L steel finishing and weight convinced me immediately.
Case measures right at 42mm with clean brushing on the 316L steel flanks and a flush black sapphire bezel. The Japanese 9020 automatic holds within a few seconds a day and legibility against the matte obsidian dial is strong.
Bought the Silver Black Polaris 1790 for my husband's birthday. He is super picky about automatic watches, and he wears this to the office almost daily. His only comment was the small-seconds subdial numerals are a little small without his reading glasses.
