Bought this for my dad's 65th
Picked this up for my dad's 65th birthday. He retired from the Air Force years ago and wanted a classy two-tone automatic for church and family dinners. He loved the Roman numerals and the see-through back.
The watch
Tissot Le Locle Powermatic 80: a silver-dial dress watch in a 39.3mm rose gold PVD stainless steel case, driven by a Powermatic 80 automatic movement. Expect 30 m water resistance and a sapphire crystal. It belongs to Hour I, Minimalist Dress, in our Boardroom season: a natural choice for days that start in a meeting room and end at dinner.
Named after Tissot's home town in the Swiss Jura, the Le Locle Powermatic 80 pairs traditional dress-watch elegance with a refined two-tone bracelet.
The 39.3mm steel case is finished with rose gold PVD accents that carry through to the bracelet, framing a silver Roman-numeral dial with guilloche detailing and a date window.
Powered by the automatic Powermatic 80, it winds as you wear it and holds up to 80 hours of reserve, visible through the exhibition caseback.
The two-tone steel bracelet fastens with a butterfly clasp, sapphire crystal shields the dial, and 30 metre (3 ATM) water resistance manages rain and hand-washing.
For the man who wants a versatile everyday-luxury automatic with a touch of rose gold warmth.
New, boxed and warrantied — ships within the US.
Good to know
It is a self-winding Swiss automatic. The Powermatic 80 movement winds from the motion of your wrist and holds up to 80 hours of power reserve, so it keeps running for about three days when set aside.
It is water resistant to 30 metres (3 ATM), which covers rain and hand-washing. As a dress watch it should not be worn for showering, swimming or diving.
The case measures 39.3mm — a versatile size that suits most wrists (roughly 15.5-19 cm / 6.1-7.5 in). Our watch size guide (/pages/watch-size-guide) explains how to measure your wrist.
It has a silver dial, under a sapphire crystal.
Yes, the dial is protected by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, and an exhibition caseback shows the automatic movement inside.
On the ChronoSeasons dial it sits at Hour I — Minimalist Dress, part of the Boardroom season, and suits client meetings, weddings and evenings that call for a jacket.
Every watch is an authentic Swiss Made Tissot, brand-new with its original box and papers, and covered by a 2-year international warranty. Returns are accepted in line with our store policy.

Been wearing this to client lunches in Greenwich and out on weekends. The rose gold and silver combo matches my wedding band, and the dial catches the afternoon light without being loud.
I'm a machinist and usually skeptical of PVD coatings and dress bracelets under fifteen hundred bucks. Everything on this Le Locle feels tight and solid, from the sapphire glass to the engraved caseback, and it fits my 8-inch wrist with all the factory links in.
Always means a lot when a machinist approves of the case and bracelet tolerances, Dylan! Enjoy your Le Locle.
Took two links out of the two-tone bracelet for my wrist and the fit is spot on. I also tried it on a 19mm brown crocodile-grain strap for a week, which brings out the rose gold bezel, before putting the steel bracelet right back on.
I pay attention to small surface details, and I was a little skeptical ordering a two-tone watch online. The alternating brushed steel and polished rose gold links on this Le Locle are cleanly executed, and the textured silver dial has great depth.
Wasn't sure if the rose gold PVD links would look too flashy until I opened the box. The tone is warm and subtle against the brushed steel, and the sapphire crystal is super clear. The butterfly clasp action was a little stiff out of the box before working it open and closed a few times.
Thanks for sharing your experience, Jesse! A new butterfly deployant clasp always starts out firm and breaks in nicely with regular wear.
The T006.407.22.033.01 pairs the classic 39.3mm Le Locle case with a seven-link rose gold PVD and steel bracelet. The clous de Paris dial center and leaf hands are sharply finished, and the Powermatic 80 movement is keeping time at +2.5 seconds per day. Coming from leather-strap dress watches, the solid steel bracelet has some real heft that took a couple days to get used to.
Thank you for the thoughtful review, Gage! That solid multi-link bracelet definitely adds some reassuring presence on the wrist.
