The watch

About this watch

Ocean Crawler Barracuda: a dive watch in a 44.2mm 316L stainless steel case, driven by an automatic movement. Expect 600m water resistance and a sapphire crystal. On the ChronoSeasons dial it sits at Hour IV — Dive, part of the Expedition season — and suits swimming, sailing and beach travel.

Design

A crisp, high-contrast dial anchors the design, framed by a unidirectional rotating bezel and set into a 44.2mm case in 316L stainless steel. At 44.2mm across, 15mm thick and 51.8mm lug-to-lug, it wears with real presence on the wrist.

Movement

A self-winding automatic movement drives the Barracuda, individually regulated for steady, accurate timekeeping. There is no battery to replace — the watch winds itself from the motion of your wrist.

In the water

Every Ocean Crawler is pressure-tested in water, and this one is rated to 600 metres (60 ATM). That is genuine capability for recreational and technical scuba diving, freediving and spearfishing. The unidirectional bezel and bright Super-LumiNova keep elapsed-time tracking clear even in dark water.

Who it’s for

It is made for divers and enthusiasts who want a serious tool watch with genuine depth rating, Swiss-grade mechanics and a design that still turns heads above the surface.

Questions & answers

What movement powers the Ocean Crawler Barracuda?

A self-winding automatic movement, individually regulated for accuracy. It winds from the motion of your wrist, so there is no battery to change.

Can I swim with the Ocean Crawler Barracuda?

What makes the Barracuda stand out as a dive watch?

It pairs 600 metres (60 ATM) of tested water resistance with a luminous 120-click timing bezel, a serious tool-watch build and Swiss Super-LumiNova, so it performs underwater and still looks refined on land.

How good is the Ocean Crawler Barracuda's lume and bezel?

The bezel and key dial markers carry Swiss Super-LumiNova, so elapsed-time tracking and reading the time stay clear in dark or murky water.

Who is the Ocean Crawler Barracuda for?

Is the Ocean Crawler Barracuda authentic, and what warranty is included?

Tank of a Diver

Even on my wrist, the curved lugs of the 44.2mm Barracuda keep the 15mm tall 316L steel case centered when cinched down on the included rubber strap. What stands out to me as a dive watch collector is the 4.50mm domed AR sapphire crystal and the 600m (60 ATM) pressure rating. The Swiss Super-LumiNova on the hands and 120-click bezel glows like a torch after ten minutes in the Connecticut sun.

Overbuilt 600m Spec Monster

On my 8-inch wrist, the 44.2mm diameter and 15mm case thickness of the Ocean Crawler Barracuda feel right at home. The 4.50mm thick domed anti-reflective sapphire crystal is a serious piece of glass, and the 120-click unidirectional bezel has zero backplay with crisp detents. Accuracy has been +3 seconds per day over my first ten days. Though the included leather strap was pretty stiff for the first 3-4 days before breaking in.

Reply from ChronoSeasons

Thanks for the thorough review, Lance! That thick leather strap is built to support the 44.2mm case, and we're glad it broke in well for your wrist.
