Better in real sunlight
The website photos don't quite capture how the Clearwater dial shifts shade when you step outside into California sun. Comfortable on my wrist for long shifts at the pharmacy and casual dinners on the weekend.
The watch
The Ocean Crawler Champion Diver - Limited Edition - Clearwater is a 44.2mm dive watch with a clearwater dial, powered by an automatic movement. It brings a limited production run, 600m water resistance and a sapphire crystal. We place it at Hour IV (Dive) of the Expedition season, for water sports and everyday wear.
The Clearwater dial sets the tone, framed by a unidirectional rotating bezel and set into a 44.2mm case in 316L stainless steel. At 44.2mm across, 15mm thick and 51.8mm lug-to-lug, it wears with real presence on the wrist.
A self-winding automatic movement drives the Champion Diver, individually regulated for steady, accurate timekeeping. There is no battery to replace — the watch winds itself from the motion of your wrist.
Every Ocean Crawler is pressure-tested in water, and this one is rated to 600 metres (60 ATM). That is genuine capability for recreational and technical scuba diving, freediving and spearfishing. The unidirectional bezel and bright Super-LumiNova keep elapsed-time tracking clear even in dark water.
It is made for divers and enthusiasts who want a serious tool watch with genuine depth rating, Swiss-grade mechanics and a design that still turns heads above the surface.

Good to know
A self-winding automatic movement, individually regulated for accuracy. It winds from the motion of your wrist, so there is no battery to change.
It is rated to 600 metres (60 ATM) and pressure-tested, so it is suitable for recreational and technical scuba diving, freediving and spearfishing. Have the gaskets checked periodically to keep that rating.
The case measures 44.2mm (15mm thick, 22mm lug width) — a bold size that suits larger wrists (roughly 17.5 cm / 6.9 in and up). Our watch size guide (/pages/watch-size-guide) explains how to measure your wrist.
It has a clearwater dial, framed by a unidirectional rotating bezel, under a sapphire crystal.
It pairs 600 metres (60 ATM) of tested water resistance with a luminous 120-click timing bezel, a serious tool-watch build and Swiss Super-LumiNova, so it performs underwater and still looks refined on land.
The bezel and key dial markers carry Swiss Super-LumiNova, so elapsed-time tracking and reading the time stay clear in dark or murky water.

I normally wear racing chronographs with tachymeters at Road America, but I wanted a tough three-hander with a rotating bezel to time pit stints. The 120-click bezel is ratchety and precise even with driving gloves on. The outer presentation box was fairly basic, though the watch is where the money went.
Hi Justin, timing pit stints with the dive bezel is a great use for it! We definitely put the budget into the 600m case and movement rather than fancy cardboard.
Checked the alignment and timekeeping as soon as it arrived. The 120-click bezel lines up dead center at twelve, the case machining is clean, and accuracy is running +2 seconds a day. Giving four stars only because the crown threads are tight at first and take a firm push to catch.
I usually stick to Swiss retail brands and was skeptical about ordering a microbrand diver online for a grand. After a week on my wrist, I am thoroughly impressed. The case brushing is crisp, the domed sapphire is thick, and the automatic movement hasn't missed a beat.
Picked this up for my son's 40th birthday since he spends every summer weekend sailing on the Chesapeake. He loves the limited edition numbering and that bright Clearwater dial. He put it on at the dinner table and wore it straight through the weekend.
Been wearing this up at Priest Lake for swimming and boat work. The 600m rating, screw-down crown, and Kevlar strap handle constant dunking with zero issues, and the daytime legibility is great. Lume is decent for a few hours after sundown, though not an all-night torch.
Hi Douglas, glad the Clearwater Champion Diver is getting plenty of water time up at the lake! Thanks for the honest feedback on the lume.
Bought this to wear at my dental practice and out to dinner on Fridays. It is a big watch on paper, but the cushion case sits neatly under a button-down cuff. The Clearwater blue face is much calmer and more refined in person than I expected.
Wore this to a mediation session on Friday with a charcoal suit and got two comments on the pale blue dial. It has a substantial feel on my wrist without looking gaudy. My only note is that the crown threads are tight at first and take a firm push to catch.
I split my week between project trailers and developer boardrooms in North Jersey. The Clearwater dial brings a clean coastal tone that pairs well with a navy blazer and dress shirt. Despite the 15mm thickness, the sloped bezel lets my shirt cuff slide over it.
Clearwater blue looks sharp in the sun. Fits my wrist right out of the box.
