Yes for swimming. It is rated to 100m (10 ATM), which covers rain, hand-washing and pool or sea swimming. It is not intended for scuba diving, and avoid hot showers and saunas.

At $310 I wasn't sure if the green dial would look flat in person, but the sunburst finish under the sapphire crystal is rich and metallic. Only minor note is the rotor has a slight audible whir in a dead-quiet room, which is normal for the NH35.

When I'm off the docks and in the office writing marine survey reports or meeting insurers, this green Arabic dial watch pairs nicely with a navy blazer. Comfortable fit on my wrist after taking out links.
I usually wear titanium pilot watches on the weekend, so moving to a 42mm solid 316L steel automatic on a full bracelet was noticeable. The watch has some real heft to it that took a couple days to get used to, and the Seiko NH35 movement keeps great time.
