I had my doubts about buying a $399 watch online without seeing it in a showroom first, but the weight of the solid 316L bracelet and clarity of the sapphire crystal sold me immediately. Looks much pricier than it is.
I spend weekends wrenching on vintage sports cars and weekdays on construction sites, so I wanted a clean silver-and-blue automatic for nights out. The Seiko NH36A movement is dependable and the 40mm case feels solid.
The 40mm case and fluted 316L bezel sit well on my wrist, and the Seiko NH36A movement inside is keeping +5 seconds per day. Sunburst blue dial has nice radial depth under the anti-reflective sapphire. I swapped it onto a leather strap for a few days which was pretty stiff before breaking in, and the factory bracelet clasp is a bit tight to pop open.
Ideal size for my wrist when I'm in a coat and tie at school events. The polished fluted bezel and blue Roman numeral dial look classic without being flashy, and cuff clearance is great.
Wore this to three defense-contracting briefings this week. The 40mm silver case slips under a dress shirt cuff easily on my 7.75-inch wrist, and the sunburst blue Roman dial looks sharp with navy or grey suits.
