Bristol Spitfire R6753 Tribute Chronograph : un chronographe au cadran noir, doté d’un boîtier de 44 mm en acier inoxydable 316L et animé par un mouvement chronographe à quartz suisse (calibre 5021.D). Parmi ses points forts figurent un fragment d’origine de la structure de l’avion auquel il rend hommage, serti dans le fond de boîtier, une série limitée à 1 940 exemplaires et une étanchéité de 50 m. Nous le plaçons à l’Heure V (Chronograph) de la saison Expedition, pour les passionnés de sports mécaniques et d’aviation.
Le Supermarine Spitfire est sans doute l’avion de chasse le plus emblématique et le plus beau de la Seconde Guerre mondiale. Un appareil qui restera à jamais associé à l’épique bataille d’Angleterre, qui s’est livrée dans le ciel anglais en 1940. Ce modèle aviateur classique est doté d’un chronographe suisse de précision avec un cadran Super-LumiNova protégé par un verre saphir résistant aux rayures. Cette édition est limitée à 1 940 exemplaires en hommage à la bataille d’Angleterre, et le fond de boîtier présente un fragment original de la structure du Spitfire R6753. Le pilote JC Pinckney a abattu un ME-109 le 29 août 1940 alors qu’il était aux commandes du R6753.

This is my second Bristol warbird piece, and the Spitfire R6753 tribute is every bit as compelling as my B-25. It runs the 10-jewel Swiss Ronda Caliber 5021.D chronograph inside a 44mm brushed 316L steel case, topped with a flat sapphire crystal. Having genuine Battle of Britain Spitfire R6753 aluminum set into the 1940-piece caseback is incredible. Only note is the brown leather strap was pretty stiff for the first 3-4 days before breaking in.

I was skeptical about whether an aviation relic watch would feel well-machined, but I can say the 44mm brushed 316L case and sapphire crystal are solid. The shipping carrier delayed the box by two days, though the watch itself is great.
