Measured the case diameter at 40.0mm with clean vertical brushing on the lugs and crisp tachymeter markings on the fixed bezel. The VK64 chrono hand aligns dead center at 12 o'clock and legibility on my wrist is excellent.
I was hesitant ordering an unfamiliar brand online, but the weight of the 316L steel case and clarity of the sapphire crystal won me over immediately. The crown and pushers felt a touch stiff out of the box before working them a few times.
I collect both vintage mechanical chronographs and modern microbrands, and this 40mm Ocular 1766 gets the details right. The faux-patina lume against the matte black bi-compax dial isn't overly orange, the sapphire crystal has good AR, and the Seiko VK64 caliber snaps back to twelve cleanly. I also tried fitting an aftermarket butterfly-clasp bracelet, though without half-links it runs a bit snug in humidity.
Great compact racing chronograph for my wrist. The fixed tachymeter bezel and dual sub-registers are super clean, and the VK64 sweep hand is fun to use. Only note is a slight audible whir inside when the room is dead quiet.

Most leather-strap chronographs only offer 30m splash resistance, so having 100m water resistance on this 40mm case is a huge plus for camping trips in northern Michigan. High legibility and durable sapphire glass.
Picked up the Vintage Black Leather model for my dad's 65th birthday. He loves classic chronographs from the 60s and 70s, and the patinated markers and 40mm size hit the bullseye for him.

At $205 I expected a tinny case and mineral glass, so getting solid brushed 316L steel and an anti-reflective sapphire crystal was a pleasant surprise. Tried putting it on a spare butterfly-clasp bracelet I had, which lacked half-links for humid days, so I switched back to the leather strap.
The matte black dial with warm patinated indices and fixed brushed tachymeter bezel looks straight out of a 1960s pit lane. The VK64 meca-quartz pushers have a firm mechanical snap and reset cleanly.

The patinated markers on the matte black dial look killer on the stock calfskin strap, and even better when I swap it onto an olive single-pass NATO. Only minor downside is the vintage lume is decent for a few hours but not an all-night torch.
