Bristol B-25 Mitchell Tribute Chronograph : un chronographe au cadran beige, doté d’un boîtier de 44 mm en acier inoxydable 316L à finition dorée, animé par un mouvement chronographe à quartz suisse (calibre 3540.D). Parmi ses points forts figurent un fragment original de la structure de l’avion auquel il rend hommage, serti dans le fond de boîtier, une série limitée à 1 945 exemplaires et une étanchéité de 50 m. Nous le plaçons à l’Heure V (Chronographe) de la saison Expedition, pour les passionnés de sports mécaniques et d’aviation.
Ce modèle aviateur classique est doté d’un chronographe suisse de précision avec un cadran Super-LumiNova protégé par un verre saphir résistant aux rayures. Le fond de boîtier présente un matériau d’origine de la cellule du B-25 Mitchell nord-américain SN#44-30734. Cette édition est limitée à 1 945 exemplaires en hommage à l’année de production de cet appareil. Le robuste B-25 Mitchell a servi aux forces aériennes alliées sur tous les théâtres d’opérations de la Seconde Guerre mondiale et au-delà. Il s’est illustré en tant que bombardier utilisé lors de l’épique raid de Doolittle d’avril 1942, qui a bombardé Tokyo en réponse à l’attaque de Pearl Harbor. Cet appareil a survécu et est toujours en état de vol à ce jour. Grâce au dévouement et au soutien du Delaware Aviation Museum, ce B-25 volant sous le nom de « Panchito » peut encore être admiré dans le ciel lors de salons aéronautiques à travers le pays.

Was not sure what to expect ordering from a boutique aviation brand, but the gold 316L steel finishing, stitched brown leather band, and sapphire crystal are top quality. Daylight legibility on the beige dial is great, though the lume is decent for a few hours rather than an all-night torch.
As a fire captain and warbird fan, the B-25 Mitchell has a special place in history. The Swiss 3540.D stopwatch sub-registers are easy to read and the airframe relic in the back is awesome. The 44mm watch has some real heft to it that took a couple days to get used to.

Love the 1940s cockpit aesthetic of the beige sub-registers and gold case, plus the genuine B-25 Mitchell airframe metal set into the 1945-piece limited caseback. Chronograph pushers feel crisp. Note that the crown stem detents are tight at first and take a firm push to catch.
Checked the subdial hand alignment and pusher clicks on the Swiss Caliber 3540.D movement right out of the box. Everything zeros cleanly on the beige dial and the 44mm case sits well on my wrist. There is a slight audible quartz stepper tick in a dead-quiet room.
I was hesitant to drop 479 dollars on a gold-finish aviation watch online, worried the plating might look brassy. In person, the polished gold 316L steel, sapphire crystal, and authentic B-25 Mitchell airframe piece in the back look first-rate.
Wore this on a weekend cabin trip up the Columbia River Gorge. The 50m water resistance handled rain and camp chores fine, the scratch-resistant sapphire crystal shrugged off a brush against a granite boulder, and the beige dial is super legible outdoors.
The gold-finish case and warm beige dial look even better in natural light than on the product page. Very comfortable on my wrist for office days and weekend dinners out.
