The watch

About this watch

Built around a garibaldi dial, the Ocean Crawler Core Diver - Garibaldi LE pairs a 44mm case with a Swiss automatic Sellita SW200-1 movement. Expect a limited production run, 600m water resistance and a sapphire crystal. On the ChronoSeasons dial it sits at Hour IV — Dive, part of the Expedition season — and suits water sports and everyday wear.

Design

The Garibaldi dial sets the tone, framed by a sapphire unidirectional rotating bezel and set into a 44mm case in 316L stainless steel. At 44mm across, 15.6mm thick and 50mm lug-to-lug, it wears with real presence on the wrist.

Movement

Inside beats a Swiss-made Sellita SW200-1 automatic, running at 28,800 vph with roughly a 40-hour power reserve. It winds itself from the motion of your wrist — no battery, just a mechanical heart that has been individually regulated for accuracy.

In the water

Every Ocean Crawler is pressure-tested in water, and this one is rated to 600 metres (60 ATM). That is genuine capability for recreational and technical scuba diving, freediving and spearfishing. A helium escape valve lets it handle saturation diving and decompression chambers. The unidirectional bezel and bright Super-LumiNova keep elapsed-time tracking clear even in dark water.

Who it’s for

It is made for divers and enthusiasts who want a serious tool watch with genuine depth rating, Swiss-grade mechanics and a design that still turns heads above the surface.

Fun Friday office watch

I wear traditional dress watches Monday through Thursday, but the Garibaldi LE has become my go-to for casual Fridays and client golf outings. At 15.6mm it sits proud of a dress cuff, and the extra strap was pretty stiff for the first 3-4 days before breaking in.

Garibaldi LE 600m Dive Test

Took this down to 90 feet off the Jersey shore last weekend. The orange dial stays readable way deeper than you'd think, the 120-click sapphire bezel is easy to grip with neoprene gloves, and the C3 lume practically glows in the dark water.

worth every penny

I was on the fence about spending $1,200 on a microbrand watch, but the build quality of this Core Diver put my doubts to rest. Between the heavy shark-mesh bracelet, the 4mm sapphire crystal, and the Swiss Sellita movement, it feels like a $3,000 piece.

great cockpit and weekend watch

I fly private single-engine planes out of Hartford and usually wear a pilot GMT, but this Garibaldi orange dial caught my eye for weekend trips. Super legible at a quick glance in bright sun. The clasp doesn't have half-links so the fit is slightly snug in humid August weather.

Reply from ChronoSeasons

Hi Zachary, glad the Garibaldi is getting some airtime out of Hartford! Thanks for the feedback on the bracelet sizing during humid weather.
