Went with the Automatic variant and it has been my go-to weekend watch. The blue aventurine dial against the black frosted bracelet looks awesome in sun or restaurant lighting and feels great on my wrist.

The watch
The Paul Rich Frosted Star Dust II Black is a 43mm watch with an aventurine blue dial, powered by a Swiss quartz or Japanese automatic movement. Expect a sapphire crystal. It belongs to Hour VIII, Aventurine & Cosmic, in our Downtime season: a natural choice for evenings out and weekends.
The Frosted Star Dust II Black centers a blue aventurine dial that glitters like a night sky, set in a frosted, diamond-dusted 43mm stainless steel case. The sapphire or mineral crystal keeps the deep, star-flecked face crisp and legible.
Take your pick of a precise Swiss quartz or a self-winding Japanese automatic — the same celestial dial, powered your way.
On a matching frosted stainless steel bracelet, it slips under a cuff yet earns a second look at dinner. As a dress piece it is not rated for swimming or showering — treat the aventurine to dry land.
For anyone who wants a little of the universe on their wrist, day to night.

Even though I usually collect mechanical chronographs, I grabbed the 43mm Quartz version of the Frosted Star Dust II Black as a grab-and-go evening piece. The depth of the aventurine blue dial against the black frosted steel case is striking, and the Swiss quartz movement hits the markers cleanly. Only My only minor gripe is that the butterfly clasp lacks half-links, so getting an exact fit on my wrist in humid weather took some trial and error.
I have seven automatics in my collection, mostly divers and integrated-bracelet sports watches, and decided to try the 43mm Frosted Star Dust II Black Automatic. The Florentine-style frosted texture on the stainless steel case and bracelet scatters light without showing fingerprints. On my wrist the integrated lug profile keeps the 43mm footprint wearable, and the Japanese automatic caliber has been running at +6 seconds per day under the sapphire crystal.
The aventurine blue dial inside the frosted black 43mm case looks way better in person than on the website. Wore the Quartz version out to dinner on Friday and two people asked about it.
I was skeptical about ordering a frosted black watch online, and while the solid steel links, sapphire crystal, and aventurine dial on the Automatic version are nicely finished, I am giving it three stars because the lume only lasts a couple of hours instead of all night.
I usually wear vintage aviation chronographs and black PVD pilot watches, so the matte frosted black finish on this 43mm Quartz model caught my eye right away. The starry blue aventurine dial contrasts against the dark steel like a night sky from a cockpit.
