I fly commercial routes out of Norfolk and have a weak spot for Seiko NH-powered automatics. The 42mm case has a bold presence on my wrist, the fluted 316L steel bezel is machined cleanly, and the royal blue sunburst dial with Eastern Arabic numerals looks fantastic in cockpit lighting. Running +3 sec/day so far. Only minor thing is the date window is a little small without my reading glasses.

The royal blue sunburst dial on this 42mm 1648 has impressive radial depth under the anti-reflective sapphire crystal, and the Eastern Arabic numerals catch the light alongside the polished 316L fluted bezel. Inside, the Seiko NH35 automatic movement is keeping +5 seconds per day on my 7.5-inch wrist. The crown action was a little stiff out of the box before working it a few times.

Took three links out of the steel bracelet to fit my wrist, and also tried it on a warm cognac leather strap for a school banquet. The cognac leather against the royal blue Arabic dial looks super classy.
After decades in the Air Force wearing black pilot watches, I wanted a royal blue dress watch with some personality. The Seiko NH35 automatic is rock solid and the blue sunburst dial looks sharp. Outer presentation box was fairly basic, though the watch is where the money went.
